I’ve finished inspecting this 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, and with 72,277 miles on the odometer, the truck is in generally strong shape. My overall confidence in this assessment is high at 98/100, as the mechanical systems, including the engine, transmission, and brakes, all checked out as excellent. The truck shows very well, with the paint, body panels, and interior components like the seats and dashboard all in great condition. However, I did note that the exterior glass is rated as "NEEDS_ATTENTION," and you should inspect it closely for any chips or cracks. On the positive side, all four tires have a healthy 10/32" of tread remaining, and the undercarriage is clean. Regarding the computer diagnostics, there were no active trouble codes found, meaning the vehicle's brain is currently clean. You should be aware that several OBDII monitors—specifically the Fuel System, Catalyst, EVAP, and O2 Sensor—are currently "not ready." This typically happens if the battery was recently disconnected or the codes were cleared, and the vehicle will likely need to be driven through a specific drive cycle to reset these monitors.

I just finished looking over this 2017 Hyundai Tucson, and overall, it’s in good shape for having 89,967 miles on the odometer. My inspection gave it a confidence score of 94/100, as the vehicle’s computer is clean with no diagnostic trouble codes and all major monitors are ready. The mechanical side of things is performing well, with the engine, transmission, and suspension all showing excellent health. While the paint finish is in fair condition and the brakes are currently rated as fair, I did note that the wheels have some physical damage, though the tires themselves are in good shape with no signs of mismatch or incorrect sizing. Everything inside the cabin, including the electronics and air conditioning, is working exactly as it should. Since the vehicle is approaching the 90,000-mile mark, you may want to look into the standard maintenance items typically required at this interval, such as a comprehensive brake and suspension inspection or a cooling system service.

I just finished inspecting this 2023 Mazda CX-5 Signature, and I’m happy to report that it is in excellent overall condition. With a confidence score of 99/100, my assessment shows a vehicle that has been well-maintained and is currently performing exactly as it should. The exterior and interior are in great shape, showing minimal wear across all panels, trim, and upholstery. Mechanically, everything from the engine and transmission to the suspension and cooling systems checked out perfectly, and all four tires have a healthy 8/32" of tread remaining. The OBDII diagnostic scan came back completely clean with no trouble codes, and all emission monitors are ready. There are no immediate maintenance items or repairs identified, so the vehicle is currently in a very clean state of operation.

Buying a vehicle located in Florida without being able to see it personally.
Vehicles found on Autotrader, Cars.com, CarGurus, Facebook Marketplace, dealership websites, or auctions.
We perform the inspection at the dealership so you don’t have to travel just to evaluate the vehicle.
CarLens coordinates with the seller and inspects the vehicle where it is located.
A vehicle-history report is a genuinely useful tool \u2014 it can surface reported accidents, title branding, and ownership history. But it is only one piece of a smart buying decision, and it has real limits.
A history report cannot show a vehicle’s current mechanical condition, tire and brake wear, active fluid leaks, stored or pending diagnostic codes, quality of any cosmetic or accident repairs, present damage, abnormal noises, or the many developing concerns that only reveal themselves during a hands-on inspection and road test.
That’s why the smartest remote buyers pair a history report with an independent pre-purchase inspection. Together, they give you the full picture: the car’s past and its condition today. Want the complete breakdown? Read our complete guide to pre-purchase inspections.
